Meet the team behind our great work!

Paul Gongora is General Manager at Mangosteen PR, holding a Master’s Degree in Literature and Bachelor Degree in Communications. He currently leads Mangosteen PR teams that service top Myanmar companies such as Samsung, Telenor, Emirates, Unilever and the Metro Group. He has a 17-year experience in public relations and communications fields, with significant work done in strategic and brand PR; crisis PR and communications; B2B and B2C strategic communications consulting; and stakeholder relations.

Paul previous work includes Group Operations Director for Kaus Group and as Vice President at global PR firm, FleishmanHillard in Manila.

He has created, led, or mounted various corporate communications, marketing/brand communications, and corporate social responsibility campaigns for brands such as HP, Melco Crown Entertainment, Rapu-rapu Mining Corporation, Ajinomoto Philippines Corporation, among others.

At Mango Group, he was part of the team that set up the market-entry communications for Coca-Cola Company in Myanmar. He also spearheaded the public relations communications of a telecom company in their market-entry stage. He is currently working with Telenor Myanmar and Marga Landmark Syndicate in their public relations communications, media relations/ crisis management frameworks.
His past experience on social communications include working for PSI as an interpersonal communications officers where he developed communications for female sex workers and people living with HIV.
He has experience working with a wide range of clients from Airlines, Banks, Telecoms, Technology, and Real Estate to FMCG and pharmaceutical. And He also has experience with government media relation services while working with Suu Foundation, The Elders and Kofi Annan Foundation.
May is responsible for both international/local public relations and public affairs programs. Bringing extensive knowledge of local media, she handles all media related work ranging from building client – media relationships, serving as focal person for client-service philosophy; ensuring quality work from team in order to meet/exceed client expectations.
May also leads budget management on accounts and provide overall strategic PR counsel to clients; generate strategy for branding, reputation management and integrated marketing. She always maintains good relationship with the local media community. Her major account includes technology and innovative oriented brand such as Samsung and one of the world’s best airlines Emirates. Also she supports the Mangosteen PR team in many other brands ranging from FMCG, Real Estate and Telecommunication.

Lien Nguyen is leading the Unilever Myanmar PR team, handling brands such as Lifebuoy, Lux, Pond’s Men, Knorr, Signal, Clear, Sunsilk, Rexona. She was one of the proud team members who helped Unilever Lifebuoy win Myanmar’s very first GUINNESS WORLD RECORDTM in a mass participation to promote the importance of hand washing to protect children from preventable diseases in the country in 2016.

She has worked as a Communication Specialist at T&A Communications (now T&A Ogilvy), one of the leading PR agencies in Vietnam. With over seven and half years of experience in PR, Sales, and Marketing, she has developed strong analytical, problem-solving, and substantial communication competences.
During her time living in Denmark, Lien earned an Academic Profession degree in Marketing Management, a Professional Bachelor degree in International Sales/Marketing from Niels Brock Copenhagen Business College and a Master degree in Economics & Business Administration from Roskilde University.

Thiri is working in the industry for more than 3 years, since the company was established in 2013. Her area of expertise includes Campaign Development, Press Kit & Media Relations, Media Interviews, Project Oversight, and Team Leadership. Some of her successful campaigns include Suu Foundation launch in 2014 where more than 100 local and international media gathered for the appearance of Daw Aung San Su Kyi and famous actress, Michelle Yeoh at the event, and Lifebuoy UNGA event to promote an awareness of the importance of hand washing with soap.

She currently handles key accounts like Rolex, Emirates Airline, Metro Wholesale and The Strand Hotel & Cruise. Thiri earned her Diploma in Media & Communication Technology from Temasek Polytechnic, Singapore and finished her foundation studies in Biomedical Science from Management Development Institute of Singapore.

Gregory Arnold is a graduate from The George Washington University, majoring in International Affairs. Over the last three years in Myanmar, he has worked for a local consulting firm to promote local business projects to foreign investors, as well as with the sales wing of Myanmar’s largest independent broadcaster.
Gregory has significant international experience, having lived in Tajikistan for a year, and having worked in the DC area, organizing projects in Afghanistan, Sierra Leone, India, and Kenya.

With Mangosteen PR, he has designed strategies for major international and local firms in the banking, construction, aviation, media, and INGO sectors, as well as managing a prominent research firm account, and working on crisis management/ media, trainings for prominent multinational firms.
